Job Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen environment
- ability to read and speak English fluently to understand recipes, safety instructions, and communicate with team members
- demonstrated manual dexterity and physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks efficiently
- basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- capability to move objects and climb stairs as required in the kitchen setting
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen environment

- experience working under the supervision of a Dietary Supervisor or in a similar culinary leadership role
- familiarity with dietary restrictions and special meal preparation
- previous experience in a senior living or healthcare food service environment
- strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy kitchen
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals following standardized recipes and dietary guidelines
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas in compliance with health and safety regulations
- assist the Dietary Supervisor in menu planning, inventory management, and food production processes
- ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of food items to minimize waste and maintain freshness
- communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate meal preparation and service schedules
