Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience as a cook or in a related role
  • knowledge of food preparation principles and food safety regulations
  • ability to obtain food safety certification
  • physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended walking and standing
  • willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment
  • good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations including accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • must be able to acquire food safety certification
  • demonstrate basic math and counting skills
  • demonstrate interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • safely use a variety of utensils including knives
  • operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
  • bake, roast, broil, steam using a variety of cooking methods
  • arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
  • properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor
  • adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including food safety and sanitation
  • ensure security of company assets
