Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year cooking experience including short order and quantity cooking
  • Possess or willing to obtain Serv-Safe certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of special dietary needs of residents
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team
  • Ability to deal with conflict or customer complaints professionally
  • Ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Follow all food safety and equipment safety procedures
  • Ability to perform short order cooking
  • Dependable, punctual, self-motivated, able to work without constant supervision

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve food items for breakfast, lunch, or dinner as assigned
  • Ensure efficient, timely, and friendly service to residents and staff
  • Maintain proper sanitation and safety procedures during food preparation
  • Order, receive, and rotate stock in conjunction with Food Service Director
  • Follow recipes to ensure consistency and quality of food products
  • Accommodate special dietary needs of residents with appropriate meal preparation techniques
  • Assist with meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations
