Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
  • Food knowledge pertaining to soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for normal job functions
  • Frequent immersion of hands in water and chemicals
  • Frequent use of sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • Frequent work in hot environments

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Experience working in high-volume and casual dining environments preferred
  • Food preparation skills for soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry stations
  • Ability to follow recipes and menus accurately
  • Strong communication skills to converse with customers and team members comfortably

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
  • Manage all station functions including Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and egg preparation
  • Communicate ticket times and problems to managers and servers
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and comply with HACCP standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment and handle food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting fruits and vegetables
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
