- previous cooking experience preferred
- ability to stand for long periods
- physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds

- availability to work alternating weekends
- basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating kitchen equipment
- ensure freshness of ingredients by checking quality and rotating stock
- monitor, cook and prepare foods using tasting, smelling, or food thermometers
- prepare stations according to company guidelines
- bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
- season, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes
- wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables for consumption
- carve, trim and prepare meats and seafood
- may bake breads, rolls, cakes, and pastries
- may wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment
- compile and maintain food usage records
- may assist with inventory management
- follow food specification amounts and assist in forecasting preparation needs
- prepare and serve food to customers timely
- communicate kitchen equipment and supply needs to supervisor
- adhere to company standards for safety, sanitation, uniform guidelines, and productivity
- provide excellent customer service
- perform other assigned duties as needed
