Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- relevant food safety certification such as DOH accreditation or Safe Serve certified
- at least one year of experience in prep or line cooking preferably in a high-volume café environment
- ability to follow written and oral instructions
- physical stamina to stand and lift heavy items
- ability to work effectively in a team setting
- adherence to hygiene and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications

- physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Contributes positively to the team environment
- understands and complies with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen procedures
- prepares, cooks, and assembles all food correctly following recipes and special diet orders
- works closely with front of house staff to ensure accurate and efficient food orders achieving 10-minute ticket times
- preps ingredients for peak trade periods
- builds relationships with back and front of house teams to ensure seamless customer experiences
- stores food properly, marking date and item
- plans food production coordinate with meal serving hours preserving quality and appearance
- follows all hygiene and food safety regulations
- receives and unpacks kitchen and food deliveries
- maintains clean and hygienic workstation areas
- follows closing procedures for kitchen stations
- reports equipment or food quality issues timely
- maintains grooming and uniform guidelines
