Job Duties
- Open and close the kitchen as required, ensuring all operations run smoothly
- Maintain a well-organized and efficient kitchen environment
- Prepare and present breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks daily, ensuring high-quality standards
- Create and present food for parent weekends and other special events as directed by the Chef de Cuisine
- Execute menus generated by the Chef de Cuisine, adhering to all recipes and presentation guidelines
- Adjust meal preparations based on communicated dietary restrictions and preferences of clients
- Provide healthful, nutritious, and organic meals and snacks, as directed, to support the well-being of our clients
- Ensure overall kitchen cleanliness, including regular cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, ovens, floors, and dishes after each meal and food preparation
- Adhere to state health and hygiene requirements, as well as Newport Healthcare standards
- Engage positively with parents and other guests, building appropriate rapport with clients to enhance their dining experience and foster positive associations with mealtimes
- Participate in baking or cooking groups as directed, contributing to team collaboration and skill development
