Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent education preferred
- minimum one year food service or cooking experience
- valid Food Handlers Permit from accredited issuer
- ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- ability to communicate effectively with patients and coworkers
- capable of handling physical demands of food preparation
- willingness to adhere to safety and quality protocols
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepares food according to standardized recipes and safe food handling guidelines
- tastes food for quality before each meal service
- reviews menus and prepares supplies in advance
- portions and garnishes food as instructed

- monitors and records food and refrigeration temperatures
- maintains sanitation and safety in work area and equipment
- manages food cost control to minimize waste
- assists with new food item development
- communicates effectively with patients, staff, and management
