Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cooking or food preparation experience preferred
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment including oven stove dishwasher slicer coffee machine steamer mixer and chef's knives
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Good manual dexterity and auditory and visual skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Willingness to adhere to safety and sanitation protocols
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a cooking or food preparation role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely including ovens stoves dishwashers slicers and mixers
- Strong customer service skills and communication abilities
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas such as equipment and work surfaces to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating ovens broilers grills roasters and other equipment
- Monitor freshness of food ingredients by checking quality rotating stock and following labeling and dating procedures
- Cook and prepare foods verifying sufficient cooking through tasting smelling or using food thermometers
- Prepare stations according to company guidelines
- Bake roast broil and steam meats fish vegetables and other foods
- Season weigh measure and mix ingredients following recipes using kitchen utensils and equipment
