Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of institutional cooking experience
  • Ability to perform physical job duties
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to follow culinary recipes
  • Commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school grad or equivalent preferred
  • 2+ years experience in cooking in an institutional setting
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively
  • Ability to follow, read, and write recipes
  • ServeSafe Certification preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare patient, retail, and catering meals by following culinary production records
  • Execute short-order and batch cooking to ensure quality and temperature standards
  • Perform advanced prep tasks by reviewing pull sheets and organizing ingredients
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment meeting health standards
  • Record temperatures according to regulatory requirements
  • Manage inventory by sorting, labeling, dating, and rotating stock
  • Collaborate with managers and team members to meet operational goals
