Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • Basic math skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Maintain, set up, food production and quality control of meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks, seasonings, and other food items prepared in broiler and saute stations, grill and other stations as needed
  • Prepare all hot food items according to standard recipes or guest specifications to ensure consistency
  • Visually inspect, select and use only ideal food items for sauteing in preparation of menu items
  • Ensure daily production chart is properly filled out to standards
  • Keep refrigeration, storage and working areas clean and compliant with health department regulations
  • Read and perform Use Record Specifications
  • Ensure all equipment in working areas is clean and in proper working condition
  • Use math skills to prepare items according to recipes
  • Stand for long periods and lift and move products
  • Deliver passionate and engaging guest service by recognizing and anticipating guest needs
  • Build respectful relationships with colleagues
  • Perform other assigned duties including assisting in other hotel areas as needed
