Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior cooking experience preferred
- certification in food handling required within 30 days of hire
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- strong attention to detail and sanitation practices
- capability to perform physical tasks involved in kitchen work
Job Qualifications
- Certified in ANSI Accredited Food Handler Training within 30 days
- experience in cooking
- knowledge of food preparation and sanitation standards
- ability to follow standardized recipes and departmental procedures
- basic understanding of kitchen equipment usage and maintenance
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares foods in accordance with standardized recipes and departmental procedures
- maintains utensils, equipment and work areas in a clean and sanitary condition
- serves foods on patient tray assembly area as needed
- follows detailed daily sanitation and position cleaning assignments
- ensures food is prepared according to menu and production sheets assigned by supervisor
- labels all food products according to local health department code
- portions and prepares food prior to service
