Job Requirements

  • Background check required
  • Live Scan background check prior to employment
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Pre-placement physical examination required
  • Available to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance
  • Ability to work in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Ability to comply with safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to perform food preparation and cooking duties

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of food preparation and kitchen maintenance experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, understand and speak English to carry out job duties
  • Ability to engage with diverse populations respectfully and in a culturally responsive manner
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic calculations to understand recipes and portion sizes
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety rules applicable to food production, storage and service
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and methods
  • Ability to comply with safety standards for personal and public safety
  • Ability to produce and present food in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Ability to operate independently and exercise good judgment
  • Strong culinary techniques and knowledge of culinary terminology

Job Duties

  • Prepare and produce menu items for Plateia Restaurant guests
  • Prepare in-room dining items for LCC hotel guests
  • Assist the LCC Banquets team as needed based on business demands
  • Maintain cleanliness and general maintenance of kitchen areas
  • Comply with sanitation and safety procedures
  • Manage inventory control and food storage
  • Plan daily work schedules and review orders for efficient meal production
  • Work cooperatively with team members and engage respectfully with diverse populations
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through quality food preparation and timely service
