Job Requirements
- Prior cooking experience preferred
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification obtained by first day of work (Utah and Idaho only)
- Available to work PRN shifts primarily in the evening and occasionally mid-shift
- Must be available 7 days a week including weekends and holidays
- Able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperature extremes and cleaning chemicals
- Effective manual dexterity and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work in Utah and Idaho
- Demonstrated ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safe food handling techniques
- Understanding of workflow, prioritization, and deadlines
- Customer service skills preferred
- Experience with commercial cooking equipment preferred
- Ability to prepare food according to modified diets preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and instructions
- Maintain organized and sanitary kitchen environment
- Handle bulk food production and assembly of specialty meals
- Interact with customers in catering, retail, and patient care settings
- Deliver patient meals, perform cashier and stocking duties as needed
- Operate automatic and manual ware-washing machines
- Follow safe food handling and sanitation practices
