Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in institutional or full-service restaurant cooking
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Meet state health requirements and maintain a valid Food Handler's Permit
  • Any additional certifications required by state regulations

Job Duties

  • Bring menus to life by preparing meals that are nutritious, appetizing, and beautifully presented
  • Follow resident-specific dietary requirements, including special textures and liquid thicknesses
  • Maintain top-notch food safety, sanitation, and portion control standards
  • Keep the kitchen running smoothly by managing ingredients, supplies, and prep
  • Supervise serving cart preparation and assist with meal service
  • Store, label, and track food properly, including leftover logs
  • Keep kitchen and prep areas clean and organized
  • Resolve resident food concerns with care and professionalism
  • Step in to supervise dining staff when the Culinary Experience Director or Sous Chef is unavailable
  • Take pride in making every dining experience exceptional
