Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in cooking or food preparation preferred
  • flexibility to work various positions within the kitchen
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and sanitation protocols
  • certification in food handling within required timeframe
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • willingness to learn multiple kitchen roles

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of ANSI Accredited Food Handler Training within 30 days
  • knowledge of standardized recipes and food preparation techniques
  • ability to maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards
  • experience in food portioning and labeling
  • ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare foods in accordance with standardized recipes and departmental procedures
  • maintain utensils, equipment and work areas in a clean and sanitary condition
  • serve foods on patient tray assembly area
  • follow detailed daily sanitation and position cleaning assignments
  • ensure food is prepared according to menu and production sheets assigned by supervisor
  • label all food products according to Local Health Department Code
  • portion and prepare food prior to service
