Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in cooking or food preparation preferred
- flexibility to work various positions within the kitchen
- ability to follow detailed instructions and sanitation protocols
- certification in food handling within required timeframe
- physical ability to stand for extended periods
- willingness to learn multiple kitchen roles
Job Qualifications
- Completion of ANSI Accredited Food Handler Training within 30 days
- knowledge of standardized recipes and food preparation techniques
- ability to maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards
- experience in food portioning and labeling
- ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- good communication skills
- ability to work in a team environment
Job Duties
- Cook and prepare foods in accordance with standardized recipes and departmental procedures
- maintain utensils, equipment and work areas in a clean and sanitary condition
- serve foods on patient tray assembly area
- follow detailed daily sanitation and position cleaning assignments
- ensure food is prepared according to menu and production sheets assigned by supervisor
- label all food products according to Local Health Department Code
- portion and prepare food prior to service
