Job Duties

  • Prepare food according to standardized recipes and production sheet including portion control and presentation
  • improve cooking skills through flexible assignments
  • store leftovers and prep food with proper labeling and compliance with timeframes
  • inventory food items as assigned
  • maintain records of food temperatures, production, waste and usage
  • ensure food safety standards are met
  • maintain a clean and sanitary work environment throughout the shift
  • communicate food quality, availability, equipment, customer and staffing issues to management
  • speak up when unsafe behavior is observed
  • validate and verify information for decision making
  • stop work when uncertain and resolve issues
  • demonstrate clear and timely verbal and written communication
  • promote safety for patients, families, visitors and coworkers
  • attend carefully to important details by practicing Stop, Think, Act and Review
