Job Duties
- Prepare food according to standardized recipes and production sheet including portion control and presentation
- improve cooking skills through flexible assignments
- store leftovers and prep food with proper labeling and compliance with timeframes
- inventory food items as assigned
- maintain records of food temperatures, production, waste and usage
- ensure food safety standards are met
- maintain a clean and sanitary work environment throughout the shift
- communicate food quality, availability, equipment, customer and staffing issues to management
- speak up when unsafe behavior is observed
- validate and verify information for decision making
- stop work when uncertain and resolve issues
- demonstrate clear and timely verbal and written communication
- promote safety for patients, families, visitors and coworkers
- attend carefully to important details by practicing Stop, Think, Act and Review
