Job Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen environment
- Ability to read and speak English fluently to understand recipes, safety instructions, and communicate with team members
- Demonstrated manual dexterity and physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks efficiently
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Capability to move objects and climb stairs as required in the kitchen setting
Job Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen environment

- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Experience working under the supervision of a Dietary Supervisor or in a similar culinary leadership role
- Familiarity with dietary restrictions and special meal preparation
- Previous experience in a senior living or healthcare food service environment is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy kitchen
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals following standardized recipes and dietary guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist the Dietary Supervisor in menu planning, inventory management, and food production processes
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of food items to minimize waste and maintain freshness
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate meal preparation and service schedules
