Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent competency test
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • Ability to work evenings
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work onsite full-time
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent competency test
  • Minimum of 1 year of cooking or food preparation experience
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety guidelines
  • Strong critical thinking and judgment skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Review menu and special orders to determine types and quantities of food items to be prepared
  • Follow standardized recipes in preparation of all foods
  • Plan cooking schedule with supervisor and/or executive chef to ensure food readiness at specified times
  • Confer with supervisor and/or executive chef regarding modified diet preparation and use of leftovers
  • Adhere to guidelines regarding storage, handling, and preparation of food
  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of work area
  • Work with minimal supervision and make decisive judgments in a fast-paced environment
