Job Requirements

  • Must be a certified cook with ServSafe or equivalent safe food handling certification
  • experience cooking in a professional setting
  • ability to read, write and comprehend standard English
  • ability to work in standing position for long periods
  • ability to stretch, bend, walk, stoop and reach repetitively
  • ability to work in hot, cold or wet areas
  • ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • ability to push loaded carts weighing up to 350 lbs
  • ability to adjust to fluctuating workload and schedule
  • ability to conform to dress code and maintain good personal grooming habits
  • ability to adjust to fluctuating workload and work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays and overtime

Job Duties

  • Set up service lines
  • pre-plate foods
  • prepare meals
  • cook various dishes
  • work grill, omelet, and stir fry stations
  • assist customers during service times
  • follow standardized recipes
  • review menus, production sheets, recipes and tallied items to verify daily needs
  • bake, roast, grill, boil and steam meat, fish, vegetables and other foods
  • clean, peel, cut, slice, dice, weigh and measure ingredients
  • plate and garnish food for attractive presentation
