Job Requirements
- Six months of experience in healthcare or restaurant facility
- Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification or within one year of hire
- Willingness and capability to work in a fast paced environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to schedule, work assignments and environment
- Basic math skills
- Ability to follow instructions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED culinary degree
- Two years of experience as a cook in a healthcare facility preferred
- Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification or within one year of hire
- Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire at certain locations
- Basic math skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule and work changes
Job Duties
- Prepare and present high quality food within specified time frame for patient and retail services
- Follow safe food handling procedures
- Take customer’s orders and prepare the order according to recipe
- Accommodate additional customer specifications or dietary needs
- Work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Adapt easily to changes in schedule, work assignments and environment
