Job Requirements

  • Six months of experience in healthcare or restaurant facility
  • Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification or within one year of hire
  • Willingness and capability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability to schedule, work assignments and environment
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to follow instructions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED culinary degree
  • Two years of experience as a cook in a healthcare facility preferred
  • Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification or within one year of hire
  • Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire at certain locations
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Flexibility to adapt to schedule and work changes

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present high quality food within specified time frame for patient and retail services
  • Follow safe food handling procedures
  • Take customer’s orders and prepare the order according to recipe
  • Accommodate additional customer specifications or dietary needs
  • Work effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Adapt easily to changes in schedule, work assignments and environment
