Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1 year of relevant experience in food preparation or serving
- ability to follow standardized recipes accurately
- knowledge of food safety and proper storage techniques
- capability to record temperatures accurately
- effective communication skills
- availability to work full-time evening shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- vocational or technical training in food service preferred
- currently enrolled vocational training preferred
- culinary internship or student worker experience preferred
- minimum 1 year of relevant experience in food preparation or serving
Job Duties
- Assembles and prepares ingredients for cooking by cleaning and cutting
- follows standardized recipes and calculates ingredients based on weight and volume
- records temperatures correctly on temperature log sheets
- replaces food items that do not meet quality standards
- stores food items properly with accurate labeling and dating
- utilizes leftovers within allotted time
- sets up steam tables on patient and cafeteria tray lines
- communicates with other staff members to ensure coordination of services
