Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or satisfactory completion of UCHealth-administered basic competency test
- Minimum one year of cooking experience
- None required for licensure or certification

Job Duties
- Review menu and special orders to determine types and quantities of food items to be prepared
- Follow standardized recipes in preparation of all foods
- Plan cooking schedule with supervisor and executive chef to ensure food will be ready at specified times
- Confer with supervisor and executive chef regarding modified diet preparation and use of leftovers
- Adhere to all applicable guidelines regarding the storage, handling and preparation of food and sanitation and maintenance of work area
- Work with critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and minimal supervision
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action
