Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and understand sufficient English
  • One year experience in quantity food production
  • Knowledge of food preparation and service techniques
  • Working knowledge of HACCP and safety regulations
  • Ability to perform physical job requirements
  • Valid San Bernardino County Food Handlers Card or willingness to obtain within 30 days
  • Familiarity with quantity food preparation equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and understand sufficient English to perform job
  • One year of experience in quantity food production in a restaurant or institutional environment
  • Demonstrated competency in food preparation and service
  • Working knowledge of HACCP and safety regulations
  • Ability to use creativity in food preparation
  • Competence in age specific food preparation and modified diet restrictions
  • Possession or ability to obtain San Bernardino County Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Follow standardized recipes and diagrams accurately
  • Consistently prepare high quality food items in required amounts for designated service area
  • Set up and organize work area for current day’s food preparation with all appropriate ingredients and equipment
  • Adhere to food safety and HACCP regulations
  • Demonstrate creativity in food preparation within required guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of food preparation area
  • Perform physical tasks essential to food preparation such as lifting and standing for long periods
