Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • willingness to work part-time hours including every other weekend
  • ability to follow instructions and perform routine cleaning
  • capacity to work under supervision
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • effective communication skills in English

  • ability to operate kitchen equipment effectively
  • ability to read, speak, and understand English
  • prior experience in a food preparation or service role considered beneficial

Job Duties

  • Perform a variety of patient food services including meal preparation for patients and their families
  • execute cafeteria food services and cater events as assigned
  • adhere to departmental cleaning routines maintaining kitchen and equipment sanitation
  • prepare and present meals ensuring quality and customer service excellence
  • follow supervisor instructions and comply with food safety and sanitation standards
  • assist dietary aides in meal execution and other special food service tasks
  • maintain continuous communication with Nutrition and Food Services leadership regarding operational needs
