  • one year of experience

Job Qualifications

  • ability to follow standardized recipes and safety guidelines
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • review menu and special orders to determine types and quantities of food items to be prepared
  • follow standardized recipes in preparation of all foods
  • plan cooking schedule with supervisor and/or executive chef to ensure food is ready on time
  • confer with supervisor and/or executive chef regarding modified diet preparation and use of leftovers
  • adhere to all applicable guidelines for storage, handling, preparation of food, and sanitation of work area
  • use critical thinking skills and exercise judgment with minimal supervision
  • work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action
