Job Requirements
- High-school diploma or equivalent
- two years of cooking experience
- QFO or ServeSafe certification
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- ability to read and follow recipes and instructions
- ability to work in fast-paced environments under pressure
- ability to work collaboratively
- basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- empathetic and caring attitude
- ability to attend mandatory training and staff meetings
- strong knowledge of proper food handling

- must complete KeepSAfe and other required training upon hire
Job Qualifications

- qualified food operator (QFO) or ServeSafe certification
- ability to maintain confidentiality in work environment
- ability to read and follow standardized recipes and instructions
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- collaborative teamwork skills
- basic Microsoft Office computer knowledge
- experience with served population preferred
- sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic diversity
- fluency in English
- Spanish language skills preferred
- knowledge and belief in Housing First philosophy
- ability to attend mandatory trainings and meetings
- empathetic and caring nature
- strong organizational and multitasking skills

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to the menu and standardized recipes
- maintain accurate records including temperature logs, recipes, donation forms, and menu changes
- order, purchase, receive, and inventory food and supplies ensuring accuracy and proper storage
- clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, and storage areas
- supervise and train employees and volunteers following proper kitchen procedures
- respond promptly to concerns related to kitchen operations and maintain open communication with supervisor
- plan and implement monthly menus with supervisor approval
