Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 6 months cooking experience in any setting or completion of approved culinary certification training program
- Basic food safety and sanitation knowledge
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and proper knife handling skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers and other departments

Job Duties
- Prepares and measures ingredients and cooks food according to established recipes production records and safety guidelines
- Reads food order tickets or receives verbal instructions and prepares food accordingly
- Prepares food and serves customers in made to order settings including grill stations
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment safely and reports malfunctions
- Tastes products to ensure quality adheres to production sheets and keeps accurate records
- Cleans and sanitizes workstation and equipment
- Works safely to avoid injury and reports unsafe conditions and accidents
- Receives inventory, lifts products and supplies, and prepares meals for special diets
- Contributes to departmental goals and participates in meetings and training
