Job Requirements
- high school graduation or its equivalent
- vocational or on-the-job training in cooking
- one year experience in food production and cooking in demanding schedules or one year of experience including culinary school
- ability to read, write and speak English
- ability to understand oral and written instructions
- ability to do simple arithmetic

Job Duties
- perform functions requiring sound knowledge and skill in quantity and batch cooking methods and procedures
- assist in preparing and cooking foods to order for a major patient-care and commercial cafeteria facility
- comply with University Health and Department policies
- ensure proper care and use of foods, supplies, and equipment
- comply with safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
- maintain good guest and working relations
- assure competent, efficient, and timely performance of duties and assignments
- meet established daily deadlines with accuracy and quality performance
