Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • valid California food handlers card
  • ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
  • ability to lift up to fifty pounds with team lift for items over twenty-five pounds
  • capability to work in high heat environment
  • effective communication skills
  • basic understanding of English
  • flexibility to work various shifts
  • commitment to food safety and sanitation protocols

Job Qualifications

  • valid California food handlers card
  • ability to read and understand English menus
  • proficiency in multitasking in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • good physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to fifty pounds
  • experience in food preparation preferred
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • willingness to assist in various kitchen areas when required

Job Duties

  • cook in assigned areas such as meats, vegetables, pasta and salads
  • multi-task efficiently to maintain stock of menu items within assigned area
  • read English menus to prepare menu items accurately and promptly before opening
  • maintain a strong professional image and adhere to uniform standards
  • keep assigned areas and storage clean and clutter free with restaurant issued supplies
  • maintain master knowledge of food items and recipes
  • wash dishes as necessary
  • assist in preparation and closing duties across all back of house areas when needed
  • discard, restock and maintain food items during closing
  • ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards
  • complete cleaning and operational checklists
  • maintain attendance as per employee handbook
  • perform other duties and tasks as assigned
