Job Requirements

  • Ability to meet facility and state immunization requirements
  • one year of cooking experience preferably in a healthcare setting
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team under Food Services Supervisor direction
  • flexible schedule with willingness to work evenings and weekends
  • good communication skills and ability to interact effectively with people
  • ability to follow established procedures and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year of cooking experience preferably in a healthcare setting
  • strong cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen tools and food preparation
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • detail oriented with strong judgment
  • caring attitude toward residents

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve meals for regular and special diets
  • support special events with meal preparation and service
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas
  • collaborate with Food Services Supervisor to ensure nutritional and presentation standards
  • offer resident-centered meal alternatives
  • comply with state and federal food safety and care guidelines
