Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work
  • one or more years of cooking experience preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • capability to lift and transport heavy items
  • manual dexterity to operate equipment precisely
  • ability to tolerate temperature extremes and exposure to cleaning chemicals
  • availability to work variable shifts including weekends
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Perform a variety of food production duties under general supervision
  • operate cash registers and point-of-sale systems accurately
  • handle cash, credit, and other payment methods while providing correct change
  • balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift
  • prepare and complete daily cash deposits according to department policies
  • document cash handling and report discrepancies promptly
  • maintain strict cash accountability and confidentiality
  • greet customers professionally and provide courteous, efficient service
  • answer menu questions and accommodate special dietary requests
  • support daily opening and closing procedures
  • assist with stocking, restocking, and maintaining a clean front-of-house area
  • communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • prepare and cook food according to recipes or instructions
  • prepare bulk food items, large scale production, line cook or assembly of specialty meals and catered items
  • maintain an organized and sanitary working environment
  • maintain proper quantities of production with appropriate rotation of product
  • interact with customers in catering, retail outlets or patient care
  • deliver patient meals, cashier, stock, use ware-washing machines as required
