Job Requirements
- ability to read write and speak English
- ability to understand oral and written instructions
- ability to do simple arithmetic
- one year experience in food production and cooking
- experience including culinary school acceptable
- experience in hospitals and multi-site facilities preferred
Job Qualifications
- high school graduate or equivalent
- vocational or on-the-job training in cooking
- knowledge of quantity and batch cooking methods
- experience in food production and cooking in demanding schedules
- cooking experience in hospitals and multi-site facilities preferred
- computer knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office and inventory systems preferred
Job Duties
- perform quantity and batch cooking to prepare food to order
- comply with University Health and department policies
- ensure proper care and use of foods supplies and equipment
- adhere to safety hygiene and sanitation regulations
- maintain good guest and working relations
- assure competent efficient and timely performance of duties and assignments
- meet established daily deadlines with accuracy and quality
