Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year professional kitchen experience preferred
  • working knowledge of culinary terms
  • basic culinary techniques knowledge
  • food safe certification from recognized authority preferred
  • ability to obtain and maintain Kentucky gaming/racing license
  • good communication skills in Basic English
  • ability to work flexibly under pressure
  • physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform various physical activities in a busy kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen preferred
  • working knowledge of culinary terms preferred
  • basic knowledge of culinary techniques
  • ability to execute recipes timely
  • food safe certification preferred such as ServSafe
  • ability to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license

Job Duties

  • Operate kitchen equipment including slicer, steamer, deep fryer, ovens, broiler, grill, mixer, kettle, and griddles
  • actively participate in cooking, preparing, dishing up, and assembling food for all outlets
  • provide excellent guest service to internal and external guests
  • greet guests approaching the service area
  • read and apply recipes and measurements accurately
  • communicate effectively in Basic English with team members
  • adhere to food cost control procedures and quality standards
  • comply with health codes and hand washing guidelines
  • prepare food items according to standard recipes and menu specifications
  • create compound sauces and derivatives including Beurre Blancs
  • prepare written food requisitions and manage inventory
  • perform other duties as assigned
