Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years old
  • experience in food production and sanitation
  • knowledge of HAACP regulations
  • ability to maintain hygiene and safety standards
  • strong teamwork skills
  • flexible and positive attitude
  • ability to perform physical tasks associated with food preparation and service

Job Qualifications

  • high school/GED preferred or equivalent job experience
  • significant knowledge and experience in high quality food production
  • understanding of food sanitation and safety requirements
  • ability to work flexibly and cooperatively in a team environment
  • commitment to ethical behavior and professionalism
  • awareness of compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs

Job Duties

  • produce menu and special event food items following standardized recipes and systems
  • ensure food and sanitation standards are met
  • provide safe meals by following HAACP regulations and sanitation and safety guidelines
  • promote customer satisfaction by supporting the hospital's mission and vision
  • maintain sanitized work area and proper food storage
  • demonstrate food production techniques to ensure nutritious and high quality food
  • use production sheets and portion control for cost effectiveness
