  • Able to read, speak and communicate in English
  • Willing to work weekends, holidays, overtime or as business demands
  • Able to cook at pace required by service
  • Knowledge of Regional Health District food safety regulations
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques
  • Physically able to stand for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary experience
  • Knowledge of health and sanitation standards set by Regional Health District
  • Food safety and sanitation training
  • Effective daily organization and time management
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and take constructive criticism
  • Ability to communicate clearly and harmoniously with kitchen and service teams

Job Duties

  • Follow all plating and presentations with appropriate garnishes and components
  • Arrange knives safely away from cutting board
  • Keep work area free of clutter
  • Gather utensils and equipment for station
  • Finish prep list from morning
  • Ensure fryer, broiler, griddle, salamander, oven, and steam table are on and up to temperature
  • Complete dinner breakdown and put away properly
  • Assist other areas as needed or when directed
  • Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety standards during shift
  • Wipe down and sanitize work area
  • Turn off equipment at end of shift
  • Ensure all food is properly covered and stored
  • Check with Chef or supervisor before leaving
  • Punch out in uniform daily
