Job Requirements

  • Prior restaurant experience preferred
  • Ability to work full time with flexible day and hour schedules
  • Willingness to comply with all safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to perform physical tasks involved in cooking and kitchen maintenance
  • Availability to attend safety and training sessions
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and storage areas

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience working in a restaurant or food preparation environment preferred
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks related to food preparation
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules including possible weekend or holiday shifts

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and ensuring food is at the correct temperature and appealing
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains accurate records
  • Cleans kitchen and storage areas after preparation and serving, adhering to food safety protocols
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as directed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, and inventory management
  • Reports maintenance issues or accidents promptly to supervisors
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • Ensures proper food presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance following HACCP standards
  • Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures including the use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
