Job Requirements

  • Education - associate's degree preferred but not required
  • Two years related food service experience
  • Leadership skills as needed
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Dependability
  • Ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working alone during shifts

  • Leadership skills and experience if supervising staff

Job Duties

  • Review menus prior to preparation of food
  • Inspect special diet trays to assure they are correct
  • Preparation, cooking, and service of a variety of foods
  • General cleaning up of kitchen
  • Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies
  • Coordinate dietary service with other departments as necessary
  • Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished
  • Assure that food and supplies for the meal are readily available
