Job Requirements
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes
- Prior experience working in a kitchen preferred
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- Ability to work full-time or part-time
- Commitment to safety and food handling standards
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen
- Willingness to attend safety and training meetings

Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, meets outlined standards, ensures food is at correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and is responsible for records from area worked
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat and ensures food and supplies are stored per standards
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
- Assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to supervisor immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- Complies with safety procedures including use of cut gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
- Performs other duties as assigned
