Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year cooking experience in restaurant or similar facility
  • Culinary degree preferred or equivalent education and training
  • Food Handlers card
  • Knowledge of health department and OSHA regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Must hold state-sanitation certification or license
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization
  • Capacity to work under environmental conditions including heat and fumes

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary degree preferred or relevant education, training, and experience
  • Minimum one year restaurant or equivalent cooking experience
  • Possession of Food Handlers card
  • Knowledge of local health department, OSHA, and regulatory standards
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Exemplify standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization at all times
  • Adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards
  • Produce and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary criteria
  • Exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production
  • Visit patients periodically to evaluate food service quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance
  • Conduct evaluations to make revisions in operations and procedures for improved food service
