Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience as a grill cook or line cook, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to follow recipes and production guidelines
  • Ability to monitor food temperatures accurately
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, occasional weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience as a grill cook or line cook, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Follows recipes and production sheets, informs manager or supervisor of any adjustments, documents adjustments on production sheets
  • Prepares pan garnishes for front of the house operations
  • Sets up steam tables on time and organizes them according to diagrams to avoid delays
  • Reviews all food items on steam tables with supervisor
  • Ensures all hot food temperatures are at least 165 degrees for entrees, starches, and vegetables
  • Monitors temperatures throughout the meal service
  • Ensures all wells are covered with a lid until serving time
