Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 1 year of cooking experience as a grill cook or line cook, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • ability to follow recipes and production guidelines
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • availability for full-time work including occasional weekends and holidays
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and production sheets as written and inform manager or supervisor of any adjustments made
  • document adjustments on production sheets
  • prepare pan garnishes for front of the house operations
  • set up steam tables on time and organize them according to diagrams to avoid delays on tray line including specials
  • review all food items on steam tables with supervisor
  • ensure all hot food temperatures are at least 165 degrees for entrees, starches, and vegetables
  • monitor temperatures throughout the meal service
  • ensure all wells are covered with a lid until serving time
