Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years of age
  • high school completion or equivalent required
  • food handler certification required or willing to obtain
  • at least 2 to 3 years of high volume experience preferred
  • ability to read write comprehend and speak english
  • ability to perform basic mathematical operations including addition subtraction multiplication and division
  • demonstrated ability to prepare a wide variety of food items to standard in a high volume fast paced operation
  • ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • departmental property and company policies and standards
  • available to work required schedule which may include nights weekends holidays and overtime as needed
  • this position requires working in a fast paced environment that is subject to varying levels of noise and crowds
  • physical mobility with reasonable accommodations including ability to push pull carry and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • possess intermediate knife skills including dicing chopping slicing with various knife tools
  • maintain current and accurate information regarding food items including preparation techniques seasonings ingredients
  • employ proper cooking methods cook to specifications and handle store and rotate food properly according to established health and safety standards
  • wipe counter areas sinks and floors as required to maintain a clean and safe workstation
  • maintain par levels of operating supplies and food product for each workstation obtaining replacement stock from warehouse inventory in accordance with department processes and procedures
  • operate and maintain all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures
  • provide personalized service and use guests names when possible
