Job Requirements

  • willingness to work one weekend shift every week
  • availability to work scheduled holidays
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • capacity to handle physical demands of cooking
  • valid food handler certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a commercial kitchen setting
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a team environment
  • passion for food and hospitality
  • flexibility to work weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications
  • educate servers and residents about the dishes and preparations
  • assist the Dining Services Director in team building and culinary training
  • develop personal relationships with team members and residents
  • ensure proper food preparation, presentation, and kitchen safety standards
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas
  • participate in weekend and holiday shifts as required
