Job Requirements

  • Must be certified in safe food handling
  • Must be cpr/first aid certified
  • Must have knowledge of federal and state regulations on safe food handling and sanitation techniques
  • Must be able to interpret written and oral communication
  • Must be able to follow recipes
  • Minimum one year experience in preparation and delivery of nutritional food
  • Must be self-directed and able to work with little supervision
  • Must have physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs
  • Must be willing to promote a safe work environment

Job Qualifications

  • Certified in safe food handling

  • Ability to interpret written and oral communication
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Experience in preparation and delivery of nutritional food
  • Knowledge of food handling operations and ability to prepare and present nutritious food appetizingly
  • Knowledge of public relations desirable
  • Self-directed and accountable for job performance

Job Duties

  • Explain policies and procedures to staff, residents, visitors, etc.
  • Ensure completion of job tasks by co-workers during shift
  • Provide positive leadership in absence of supervisor
  • Communicate with co-workers positively and supportively
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards for Assisted Living Facility
  • Promote a safe work environment for self and staff
  • Incorporate staff compliance in facility safety programs including fire and disaster training
