Job Requirements

  • minimum of one year of relevant cooking experience
  • valid DOH accreditation or Safe Serve certification
  • ability to follow established food safety and hygiene procedures
  • experience in high-volume kitchen operations preferred
  • capable of standing for extended periods
  • able to lift weight up to 50 pounds
  • strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of one year of prep or line cook experience preferably in a high-volume cafe environment
  • valid Department of Health (DOH) accreditation or Safe Serve certification
  • attention to detail in food preparation and hygiene
  • ability to work efficiently in high-stress and fast-paced environments
  • effective team player with strong communication skills
  • physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • prepping ingredients and cooking food products according to standard recipes
  • assembling meals following established procedures and special diet orders
  • collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure orders are completed within 10 minutes
  • managing food storage and handling supplies safely with proper dating and labeling
  • maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen stations, equipment, and surrounding areas
  • receiving and unpacking kitchen and food deliveries
  • reporting equipment or food quality issues to the General Manager promptly
