Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience preparing meals in a full-service kitchen such as a restaurant, hotel, resort, or convention center
  • ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as dictated by events
  • ability to work with other staff members in the facility
  • ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
  • ability to be creative with buffet food presentations and maintain a quality product
  • ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments to meet deadlines
  • demonstrate initiative and ability to think, work and make independent decisions based on sound judgement
  • attention to detail
  • valid Food Handlers Card

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Fulfilling the service per each banquet event order
  • cleaning kitchen equipment as assigned
  • design creative buffet food presentations
  • measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • taste and season foods accordingly
  • prep and prepare meats such as beef, chicken, and fish
  • know final cooking temperatures of meats per Pima Health Code
  • wash, peel, cut and shred vegetables and fruits
  • maintain clean, organized, and sanitized work area
  • abide by state sanitation and health regulations and TCC requirements
  • keep all food storage areas clean, organized, labeled, and dated
  • communicate clearly with kitchen supervisor and executive chef
  • maintain positive and professional work environment
  • follow directions from kitchen supervisor and executive chef
  • report to work on time in proper uniform including name tag
  • fill out all HACCP control paperwork as directed
