Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • two years experience in a cook position
  • possession of a current Oklahoma Driver's License
  • possession and maintenance of a current Food Handlers permit
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ability to perform cleaning and food preparation duties
  • regular and predictable attendance
  • willingness to perform job-related travel
  • ability to meet performance evaluation standards

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum two years experience in cook position
  • knowledge of food storage and preparation practices
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation principles
  • skill in cooking meats and vegetables
  • ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work cooperatively with clients and staff
  • mature judgement in interpersonal interactions
  • experienced in handling co-occurring disorders contexts

Job Duties

  • prepare and serve food for regular and modified diets
  • maintain a clean and sanitary food preparation and serving area
  • assist with setting up tables and chairs
  • coordinate number of clients to be served meals
  • make coffee, drinks, and snacks for groups
  • assist with ordering, receiving, and storing kitchen goods and cleaning supplies
  • receive and store food, assist with serving modified diets
  • work with nutritionist on meal planning
  • maintain inventory of food and kitchen equipment
  • operate dishwashing machinery and clean kitchen areas
  • gather, clean, stack, and wash dishes and silverware
  • organize storage area and food storage room
  • clean and defrost freezers and refrigerators
  • adhere to safety policies and maintenance schedules
  • assist with pickup, storage and distribution of food bank items
  • participate in staff meetings
  • perform all job-related travel as required
  • maintain regular and predictable attendance
  • meet performance expectations
  • promote CCBHC concept and services
