Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant cooking or culinary experience
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Completion of tuberculosis test and physical evaluation
- Compliance with Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination requirements as applicable
- Willingness to work varied shifts
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals accurately
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to manage duties in absence of supervisory staff
- Basic understanding of nutrition preferred
Job Duties
- Ensure proper, timely, and safe preparation of food according to established recipes
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation requirements
- Maintain a safe and orderly kitchen environment
- Manage food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator
- Collaborate with the dining services team to meet residents' dietary needs
- Monitor inventory and assist in ordering kitchen supplies
- Support compliance with health regulations and internal policies
