Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years experience as a cook in a skilled nursing or medical facility
- preferred ServSafe certificate
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- ability to follow detailed recipes and portion controls
- strong organizational skills
- excellent communication abilities
- physical ability to stand, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 20lbs
- exposure to hazardous materials in a medical setting
- ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
- maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- capacity to work under high-stress situations
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Plan, prepare, and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines
- coordinate meal preparation schedules, including meal planning, ingredient preparation, cooking, and serving
- monitor inventory levels of food supplies, ingredients, and kitchen equipment, and place orders as needed
- follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines to meet dietary restrictions and preferences
- ensure food is cooked, stored, and served at appropriate temperatures
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas
- assist with menu planning and recipe development
- collaborate with dietary staff to coordinate meal service and address resident concerns
- adhere to facility policies and procedures related to food service operations
- participate in training programs and educational opportunities
- perform all other duties as requested by management
